Kirsty & Harry - 25th May 2018
So over one of my busiest bank holidays of 2018 I had the privildge of photographing Kirsty and Harry’s special day. It was the second bank holiday in May and as expected, the weather was lovely. Not too hot you felt like you were melting, not too bright so everyone was squinting but no rain and no cold weather. It definitely felt like a spring wedding and the pastel yellow and sunflower theme really complimented this that Harry and Kirsty chose.
The morning started off at their home where Kirsty and her girls were busy getting ready. It was a lovely morning with every room busy with either hair being styled, makeup being applied or prosecco being poured. Amongst the busyness of the morning, Kirsty took a moment to open some gifts left by harry (which you’ll soon see below) and I don’t think there were many dry eyes.
Hannah who styled Kirsty’s hair did a wonderful job and Kirsty’s bespoke flower crown by Swaffham & Fakenham Florist really finished her gorgeous look off once helped into her dress.
After an emotional ‘first look’ between Kirsty, her brother, father and mother, I left them all to get themselves ready to leave and went to find the boys at the church. A stunning little church just on the outskirts of Watton, set in complete tranquil, picturesque meadows. The ceremony itself was gorgeous from start to finish which seemed to just fly by.
The day continued at Kimberley Hall where canapes and drinks were enjoyed on the lawn, a string quartet playing beautiful music peacefully in the background. Later, guests were invited to take their seats and before afternoon tea was served, the speeches began. Each speech was so individual and lovely and left every guest either laughing, happy crying or applauding.
Kirsty and Harry treated me to a gorgeous afternoon tea (thank you both so much) and this allowed time for everyone to both just relax (and eat in the comfort knowing the photographer wasn’t spying and snapping away still!)
Soon the afternoon had turned into the evening and with the spare time we had between then and the first dance, Kirsty and Harry went off for some couple photos around this stunning venue. Then the first dance soon arrived and the evening began!
So take a look and enjoy…
