Mr & Mrs Rackham
05.10.2018
I was so excited to be shooting at the magnificent Oxnead Hall for the first time in October 2018. I’d heard so many lovely things about this venue and after Josie and Luke’s engagement shoot in the spring, I couldn’t wait to photograph their autumnal wedding later that year. Grab yourself a cuppa and enjoy this absolute stunner of a Wedding…
The Wedding day…
The day was just perfect. The morning was so chilled and I was able to float between photographing the girls getting ready and the boys. A huge advantage of both the bride and groom getting ready at the same venue when I shoot on my own. Through out the morning there was never any rushing - just constant laughter and plenty of fizz! (And I got to enjoy a glass or two myself!)
Paige (hair stylist) and Michelle (make-up artist) both did a wonderful job and before long it was time for Josie to get into her dress. Helped by her mum, Josie was finally ready. After all the planning, preparations and everything in the lead up to their day it was finally here. Josie opted for a ‘Fathers first look’ which’ll be a memory that will stick with me forever as it was by far one of the most emotional but hilarious reveals to date. I won’t repeat word for word from Josie’s Father but Josie will know exactly why this was both such a beautiful yet hilarious moment!
Luke and the boys looked so smart in their suits and before long, it’s ceremony time! You will see by the photos what an emotional but stunning ceremony theirs was. I don’t think their were many dry eyes in the house! The rest of the day went on to being as chilled as the morning was…
The weather was so kind to us so it allowed drinks and canapes on the lawn over looking Oxneads beautiful lake, water garden and acres of just beauty!
Later on, once it was time for guests to be seated, I was treated to the most incredible 3 course meal (Thank you so much Josie and Luke!). And, like everyone else’s meal, it was faultless. Following on, the speeches soon began and I found myself laughing just as much as the guests. Josie’s father did a wonderful speech followed by Luke who couldn’t be a more prouder husband to Josie.
The day was drawing to an end so we quickly nipped out to grab a few couple shots with the last of the evening light and returned to capture some pretty sparkler shots too. The first dance soon arrived and Josie and Luke had a moment with their two lovely little boys, Jenson and Eli.
An incredible day which I am so thankful I got to photograph. Josie and Luke, thank you for having me and for treating me like a guest the entire time. Oxnead Hall and the team, you are marvelous! Suppliers both behind the scenes and who I worked with through out the day, you’re all brilliant!
